From a young age, Janis displayed impressive hunting skills, quickly chasing pesky pigeons out of Tuscany’s castle.

I immediately realized I had something special in my hands. After just a little training, Janis was able to hunt effectively on her own, clearing several areas of pest birds over the next few years. Janis is a great hunter, and the two of us spent entire days hunting during a particularly difficult period in her life. It was therapeutic for me, and Janis always wanted to hunt with her “husband”.

But Janis isn’t all work and no play. She loves long walks in the woods and flying on mountain slopes. She is also known to cuddle anyone other than her owner’s partner during the mating period, although she does get jealous and will not allow anyone rather then me into her aviary during this time.
